Make sure to always have a track record enabled - you will see a small button beneath the VU meter for each available track. Same with the 'Mute' button on the Tuner section - if it is lit, turn it off.

In the Tools (Tuning Fork Icon) page, if you have the Tuner ON button lit, try turning it off.

Sometimes the iPad or iPhone will automatically turn the volume down when it detects an input device.

Make sure to turn the volume up on the iPad itself.
